The island of Jersey is an island that belongs to the Channel Island group. This set of island, located off of the coast of Normandy, France is actually a part of the United Kingdom, even though they aren't part of the main island itself. Because of its close proximity to the Country of France and the European continent the island of Jersey has a more European feel to it than the rest of the United Kingdom. It has become a popular place for tourist thanks Jersey's many amenities and attractions. Being an island in the English Channel means there are a lot of water activities for visitors to enjoy. Whether you like to swim, surf, or sail there are also many other types of activities for you to enjoy. If you enjoy scuba diving there is 45 miles of Jersey coastline for you to explore. If you are less interested in getting in the water and more interested in fishing in the water the expansive coastline and tidal range will give you a unique fishing experience. The seaside, while probably one of the more popular attractions on Jersey Island isn't the only attraction for visitors and families to enjoy while visiting Jersey. There are lots of land activities to enjoy too. For those who enjoy conquering the rock face, Jersey is home to Creepy Valley. Located in a natural valley, Creepy Valley offers visitors the opportunity to do some rock climbing. If you aren't interested in rock climbing Creepy Valley has a plethora of other activities for families to enjoy. You can enjoy a military style assault course, laser combat as well as many other activities. Climbing isn't the only land activity for you to enjoy during your stay. Jersey also offers an array of land based activities that include golfing, tennis, cycling, assault courses, as well as many more fun activities. Land and sea aren't the only ways for you to enjoy the beauty of Jersey. You can enjoy the fun in Jersey from the air too. If you are interested in flying, try taking a flying lesson or two. Or for the more adventurous types you can even jump out of a plane instead and enjoy a little sky diving. Your trip to Jersey doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. Jersey boasts many activities that are absolutely free. Besides, hanging out on the beach, swimming and sunbathing are obviously free, Jersey has several different events that you can attend if you are on the island when they are being held. If you are planning a trip to Jersey around the first part of September you won't want to miss the free air show. Wanting to go to Jersey during the early part of May, then don't miss the liberation festival which celebrates the liberation of the island from Nazi occupation. The island of Jersey is filled with activities. From sea to air there is an opportunity for everyone to have fun.
